Ghazni Custom Revenue up by 20 percent

GHAZNI (BNA) Local officials in Ghazni custom revenue office say that their revenue collection is increased by 20 percent compared to last year.

The provincial head of Ghazni Custom office, Mawlavi Zia ul Haq Usman, said in their annual reporting meeting, While the Ministry of Finance has reduced the taxes of tradesmen from 1.5 percent to 0.5 percent. However, the revenue of the custom office has increased by 20 percent compared to last year.

He said that this year the Ministry of Finance had set a revenue target of 489 million Afghanis for Ghazni Custom office, but they have collected 230 million Afghanis in revenue since the beginning of the first month of the current year, which has increased by 20 percent compared to last year.

According to him, the reason for the increase in revenue is transparent collection of revenue and prevention of corruption.
