Qanooni Meets UN Special Envoy To Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Younus Qanooni, First Vice President met Thursday with UN special envoy to Afghanistan and discussed related to latest changes in election issues and finding a way for solution the election deadlock.  According to presidential press office to BNA, in the meeting, First Vice President Mohammad Younus Qanooni recalled that controlling aftermath crisis of election results was impossible without auditing those polling sites where widely frauds had probably taken place and electoral commissions should do that for safety of Afghanistan. The First Vice President added joint efforts of all relevant organs and presidential candidates were underway to help result in transparency of election process.
In the meeting, UN special envoy to Afghanistan Jan Kubish informed of the UN’s draft related to resolution of Afghanistan election escalation, adding the draft had been codified by UN experts according to current reliable ways and in consideration to frangibility of Afghanistan’s condition and would be soon delivered in a joint session with Afghanistan president and participation of his two vice presidents.
