Sartaj Aziz Stresses For Improving Afghan-Pak Relations

Kabul (BNA) Sartaj Aziz the national security advisor to Pakistan Prime Minister has stressed for improving relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Addressing the 12th parliamentary meeting of the two countries held late last month in Islamabad, Aziz pointed out that past mistakes won’t be repeated and instead the two countries have to boost relations in all fields including trade and investment.
He also noted that Islamabad does not want to expel the Afghan refugees and the provincial government of Khyber Pashtunkhawa doesn’t have authority to expel the refugees, saying the Afghan refugees can stay in Pakistan till the end of 2015. In the two-day parliament meeting, a 19-artilce resolution which emphasized for enhancing bilateral relation was also issued. The Afghan delegation headed by Senator Hajji Baz Mohammad Zarmati also called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday wherein the Premier assured to help Afghanistan in achieving peace and security.
Head of the Afghan delegation in meeting with Pakistani counterparts headed by Senator Afrasiab Khatak and senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed also condemned the terrorist attack on a school in Pakistan, saying there are no good and bad Taliban and all of them are terrorists.
Welcoming the consensus among Pakistani political parties that Afghanistan and Pakistan can solve their problems through dialogue, head of Afghan delegation urged the Pakistani senators to mount pressure on military and intelligence agencies to help Afghanistan in the peace process.
