Dozens People Detained Accused of Organized Criminal Offenses

Kabul (BNA) At least 54 suspects accused of different organized criminal offenses were arrested by police officials in western Herat province during the last a week.
Col. Abdul Majeed Rozay security commander of Herat told BNA correspondent, the suspects were arrested accused of keeping and carrying weapons, murderer, thieves and cooperation with enemies by counter-terrorism personnel from center and districts of the province.
Also Afghan security forces have discovered and seized some heavy and light weapons, military mobilizations and several round of different type of mines in relevant areas of Gozara district of the province during the past six months, Rozay added.
The security commander assured to residents of Herat province that the Afghan security forces trying to ensure peace and stability for them.
