Mehtarlam (BNA) Nine people were arrested in Laghman in connection with criminal and terrorist offenses.
The men were arrested last week during an operation by security forces from Mehtarlam city and a number of districts in the province.
Laghman Governor Rahmatullah Yarmal told reporters that the detainees were members of the Taliban, thieves and bandits.
The detainees confessed being members of the Taliban and criminal groups in the first investigation and said they had been involved in several terrorist and criminal incidents in Laghman.
