CE Meets Chinese Trade Development Council Chief

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with the Chief and some member of the Chinese Trade Development Council, his Kabul based press office said the other day.
Both sides committed trade cooperation with each other in the future during a meeting attended by some great Chinese companies alongside the members of the trade council, the statement said.
Chie of the council called Afghanistan a long period trade partner of his country and hoped the cooperation could continue and strengthen in the future, according to the statement.
He said the Chinese companies are fully interested in investment in Afghanistan investment and making effort to use the available opportunities for development of the two countries’ trade in different fields.
The country’s Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah thanked China for taking practical steps in providing the ground for the Chinese investors to invest in agriculture, road building and telecommunication sectors, according to the statement.
“The ground for investment in extraction of marble, emerald and azure had also been provided and the Chinese related companies can invest in this fields,” said Dr. Abdullah as quoted by the statement.
According to him, the One Belt and One Route Project could ease conditions for the two country’s trade through an operational railway for five countries, the statement quoted.
The CE said close relations between the two countries chamber of commerce and signing foreign trade agreements between the two countries government could do more in strengthening relations and trade between the two countries.
Issuing visas for the Afghan traders and the Afghanistan membership to the Asian Infrastructural Investment Bank were among other issues discussed by the country’s Chief Executive, the statement concluded.
