NPC Approves 10 Contracts Worth 4.3bln Afghanis

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurement Commission (NPC) held session on Monday, his office said in a statement.
The meeting approved 10 contracts which include road development projects, health and power sector worth 4.3bln Afghanis, according to the statement.
The contracts include cleaning project of Kabul River starts from Khatamul Nabeen Masjid to Pol-e-Sukhta related to Capital Zone Development Administration’s Job Creation Project, transferring of 500KW power cable from Sheberghan province to Dasht-e-Alwan, Pul-e-Khumri related to Da Afghanistan Breshna Company, construction of 17km road in Herat province related to the ministry of rural rehabilitation and urban development, the statement further said.
Likewise, construction of Khost’s water supply network has conditionally approved, the statement added.
NPC also approved six other contracts in the meeting, the statement went on to say.
It is merit to mention that the draft of three projects which were including construction of Door Baba road to Ghani Khil, Nangarhar province were returned for further review and the contract of IT procurement project of finance ministry were rejected, the statement continued.
NPC in-charges, national and international observers including financial and budget commissions of national assembly’s, SIGAR and RS’s SISTIKA observers and many others were present in the meeting.
