CE, EU Chief On Development Cooperation Discuss Economic Cooperation

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met yesterday with EU chief for development and cooperation in Kabul.
In the meeting, both sides discussed Brussels conference, preparation of Afghanistan government, reforms and economic cooperation between Afghanistan and European Union.
The country’s chief executive regarded the Brussels conference as a good opportunity for Afghanistan so that principle steps would be taken for keeping long-term relations with the international community besides absorption the commitment of the international community related to financial cooperation. He added that for making better use of opportunity, it was necessary to get necessary results from the pledged commitments prior to the conference. The country’s chief executive considered regarded unity and political stability in national unity government as significant to get good results in the Brussels conference.
According to another report, chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah  met yesterday with UN special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In the meeting, recent political changes, electoral system reforms and results of meetings of NUG leaders were discussed.
