Heavy Floods Damage to Hundreds Acres of Farmland in Parwan

CHARIKAR (BNA) Heavy Floods in Shinwari district of Parwan caused huge financial losses.

The Provincial Commission for Combating Natural Disasters Management, 23 residential houses, five grocery shops, seven small hydroelectric dams were built due to floods in Parwan’s Shinwari district, said Rafi Ahmad Aram Aram, Parwan’s director of natural disasters.

He said Twelve small and large canal dams, a bridge, two agricultural water reserves and two hundred and fifty meters of retaining wall have been destroyed.

The floods destroyed 100 head of livestock and about 300 acres of peasant farmland.

He assured that the Provincial Commission for Combating Natural disaster is investigating the affected areas and efforts have been made to address them.
