Transport Infrastructures Should Be Prioritized, Massoud

Kabul (BNA) National City Transport Committee’s session was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Ahmad Zia Massoud, Special Envoy to President on Reforms and Good Governance here in Kabul.
In the session, programs related to modality of rehabilitation of Kabul squares, installation of electronic gate in eastern part of Kabul city, modality of allocation 10% traffic incomes to general directorate of traffic and strategy for greening of the city were discussed. Acting mayor of Kabul Eng. Abdul Ahad Wahid by delivering a program for construction of Kabul squares asserted that from among prepared drafts, two sketches have been prepared and technical researchers were underway in this regard. Meanwhile, deputy minister of transport informed of installation of electronic gates in eastern part of Kabul city, saying that the gate would play vital role in economy. After hearing working reports delivered by members of the committee, special envoy to president said members of the committee should take serious steps towards implementing their programs, stressing on practical executions in this regard.  He asked members of the committee to prioritize transportation infrastructures issues in sessions of the committee.
