Helmand Mine Dept Collects a Revenue of 27m Afs in a Week

LASHKARGAH (BNA) Helmand Mines and Petroleum said on Friday the department collected revenue of 27.6 million Afghans during the past week.

According to the department the revenue was collected from the marble mines’ contract.

Helmand director of Mines and Petroleum Mohammad Azam Sarwari said to BNA that the raised revenue has been transferred to the central bank.

In the last two months 89.8 million Afghans raised from the marble deal contract in Helmand, he added.

The marble stone is mainly used for house decoration; Helmand’s southern province of the country bears a large part of the precious stone.
