Qalat (BNA) Efforts have begun to build Tori dam in Zabul.
This dam has the capacity to store one million and eight hundred thousand cubic meters of water and can supply the required water of eight hundred and seventy hectares of fields.
Officials say they will also use the dam to generate electricity in the next steps.
Tori dam is located in Qalat city.
An official from the Afghan Water Regulatory Authority told BNA that the dam has to be built within two years.
Agriculture experts say using the Tori dam will boost agriculture in Zabul.
