HERAT (BNA) A man in Herat was rescued from the grip of abductors during an operation launched by intelligence forces, officials said.
Ahmed Tamim was kidnapped 25 days back by a group of kidnappers from the city.
The intelligence forces were able to save him from the kidnappers in an operation late Tuesday, said a security source to Bakhtar News Agency.
He said the kidnappers had warned the man’s family that they would kill him if they did not pay them.
The family of the man freed from the kidnappers thanked the intelligence forces for their timely action for freeing their son.
