Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture Hasina Safi and leading body of the ministry marked National Flag Day by hoisting the country’s national flag in National Archive courtyard.
In a ceremony held on the occasion of marking the country’s National Flag Day at the ministry, acting minister of information and culture spoke and said: “National flag of the country is a symbol of identification and national identity of the people and the ministry of information and culture has always made effort to support traditions, cultural and national identity of the country.”
“On the occasion of the country’s National Flag Day, if we’re at any position, we promise to spare no efforts towards supporting the system and transparency of the upcoming presidential elections.” Safi added.
Afterwards, head of department for overseeing media Sayed Jafar Rasteen briefed related to history, colors and signs of the country’s flag between 1800- to date.
It is worth mentioning that various programs were held on the occasion of National Flag Day in capital and other provinces of the country.
