Kabul (BNA) At least 42 armed insurgents were killed during the past 24 hours in some provinces of the country.
Ministry of Defense MoD press office told BNA, Afghan National Security Forces ANSF carried out cleansing operations on unsecure areas of Kandahar, Nangarhar, Kunar, Logar, Paktika, Ghazni, Paktia, Khost, Maidan-Wardak, Uruzgan, Zabul, Herat, Ghor, Farah, Baghlan, Balkh, Jawzjan, Kunduz, Badghis, Nooristan, Kapisa, Laghman and Helmand provinces in which 42 rebels were killed, 26 were wounded and 8 others were detained.
During the operations 11 national army soldiers were also martyred, MoD said.
