“The Country Is In Need Of Educated Young Cadres”, President Karzai

Kabul (BNA) President Karzai on the eve of the New Year and the start of the New Academic Year asked the students of the cold regions to exert additional efforts for attaining knowledge considering the needs of the country. 
In his 15-day radio address president Karzai aired through the National Radio of Afghanistan that by utilizing of the information technology inform themselves of the new advancement in the science spheres. 
He asked the students to consider the requirements of the country under the present conditions, and try to promote their knowledge and this way become specialists to better serve the country. 
He attributed progress and meeting the needs of the country to better primary, middle and higher education of the youth. 
He also expressed pleasure over the progress made in educational spheres in the past ten years and added that during this period over eight million children and youth have been enrolled in maracas, schools and universities and this figure is inadequate and hoped that in another five years it reaches to over ten million.
