Human Rights Commission Concerns About Continuing Killing of Civilians

Kabul (BNA) The Human Rights Commission says 39 civilians have been killed in the past week.

Expressing concern over the continuing killing of civilians in the country, the commission said that 39 civilians have killed and 40 others wounded in 12 counter-security incidents and fighting in Farah, Parwan, Nangarhar and Kandahar in the past week.

The dead included four women and eight children.

The Independent Human Right Commission (IHRC) has identified the Taliban and unidentified individuals as the perpetrators of civilian casualties.

The Human Rights Commission does not consider the continuation of civilian casualties in the country acceptable and has once again called for a ceasefire and a solution to the current problem in the country through political dialogue and emphasizes that the war in Afghanistan will not win.
