Hundreds of Afghan Families Forced Back from Pakistan via Spin Boldak and Torkham Borders

KABUL(BNA): Over the past 24 hours, 1155 migrants forcibly returned to the country from Pakistan through Spin Boldak, Kandahar, and Torkham, Nangarhar borders.

According to the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations Office, 116 families comprising 642 individuals were forcibly returned from Pakistan. Following registration with the Ministry, they were referred to the offices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance.

Furthermore, 97 families, totaling 513 individuals, returned to the country via Spin Boldak. Upon registration, they were directed to receive support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the World Food Programme (WFP).
