
KABUL (BNA): The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation Affairs says that 827 Afghan refugees have been returned home from Pakistan.
Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation in a statement said, among the repatriates, there were 142 families or 815 people who voluntarily while 13 other people who were released from prison were deported to Afghanistan.
After registration, the mentioned people were introduced to the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to provide them with essential aid.
Also, a number of those who were suffering from various diseases were given free treatment by Health Net International.
Meanwhile, more than 2,589 Afghan immigrants returned from Iran to the country on August 23.
According to the border officials in Islam Qala, Herat province, 1062 of the refugees were introduced to the International Organization for Migration to help them with needed assistance.
