Kabul (BNA) First Vice-President Marshal Mohammad Qaseem Fahim had an introductory meeting with Abdul Fazal Zuhrawand new Iranian ambassador to Afghanistan.
At this meeting Marshal Fahim congratulated him on his appointments as new Iranian ambassador and wished him successes. Mrshal Fahim said that the long standing ties between the people of Afghanistan and Iran has historical roots and that cultural and religious brotherly friendship links them with each other.
He also considered expansion of economic and trade ties to the interest of the two nations and recalled the cooperation of Iran with the people of Afghanistan and reiterated on its continuation.
The new Iranian ambassador expressed preparedness over continued cooperation of Iran with Afghanistan and further strengthening of these ties, adding that Iran is desirous peace and security restores in Afghanistan and bold steps are taken towards progress of this country.
