Districts With Enemies’ Hideouts Should Be Targeted, President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, in a meeting with the high ranking officers of the Special Force Operation Corps, said: “Small politics have no place in our security and defense forces,” Bakhtar News Agency reported Friday.
During the meeting, Gen. Besmillah Waziri provided full report about the training programs of the corps and their equipment and supply and preparation in the center, north, west, south and east of the country and thanked the president for visiting the officers and personnel of his led corps and said they were prepared to widen control all over the country’s geography and to help big project apply countrywide, according to the agency. The president, after hearing the report congratulated the success of the corps authorities, officers and personnel and said: “Your plans are rapidly going ahead and new procedures for an appropriate use of the commando forces are underway.” “Commandos are those forces who have further quick action. The ministry of defense has found the war formula and the number of casualties decreased and should further decreased in the future,” said the president as quoted in the statement.
He said that 1397 was the year of innovation of the countrywide governance and that the districts with the enemy’s hideouts should intensely be targeted and they shouldn’t be allowed to set permanent bases, according to the agency.
He said Afghanistan in war is in good condition by thorough efforts of the country’s security forces as they have never setback when fighting the enemies. The president said that the martyrs’ families should specially be paid attention and pointing to the special forces corps based in Achin district of Nangarhar and Kunduz in the north, said that special preparation were being made for strengthening the country’s air force. The president added that the Afghan security and defense forces were committed to the country’s national unity and small politics have no place in the country’s defense and security forces.
