Ibrahimi Meets French Ambassador

Kabul (BNA) Wolisi Jirga speaker, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi met yesterday with French Ambassador to Kabul John Michael Marloud. 
BNA reported, in the meeting attended also by deputy of policy and professional of the Jirga Rahimullah Ghalib, both sides exchanged views and discussed related to presidential runoff election’s problems, continuation of bilateral cooperation and political issues of the country.
Speaker of House of People praised France for its cooperation and role in reconstruction of Afghanistan, considering current achievements as efforts of Afghan National Security Forces and cooperation of the international community and France. Ibrahimi expressed hope that commitments between France and Afghanistan would further extend and strengthen relations between the two countries.
Expressing concern over frauds in presidential runoff election, speaker of the Jirga added as the people of Afghanistan had participated and casted votes in the election despite serious security threats, they were asking transparent results of the election.
He also said that support of friend countries and international community from transparency of the election would strengthen democratic process in the country.
In the meeting, French ambassador to Kabul asserted that the international community and France wanted a transparent election in Afghanistan.
