ICRC Provided Health Services For Thousands Resident of Baghlan

BAGHLAN (BNA) Since the Islamic Emirate rule, the ICRC provided health services to more than 21,000 people in need in that province.

Dr. Janan Musa Zai, director of Baghlan’s mayoralty, told BNA that the department had distributed foodstuffs to 1,200 deserving families in the Dahaneh Ghori and central Baghlan districts over the past six months and provided free health services to 21,699 patients.

He added: “This office has two clinics in Nahrin and Pul-e-Khumri districts and a mobile clinic that provides free health services in the farthest parts of Baghlan.”

He said the agency had referred thirty-two children with heart holes to Kabul for treatment.

He added that in the last six months, (Red Cresent) Sareh Mayasht of Baghlan has also adapted various vaccines for “6466” children and women.

Dr. Musa said that Sareh Mayasht, as its name implies, is a national charity that, in accordance with the seven principles of the International Committee of the Red Cross, works with the government to respond to natural and man-made disasters and to assist victims of war. And examines and treats patients.
