IEA Cabinet Aprroved MoLSA Draft Plan: Samangani

KABUL (BNA) Cabinet meeting of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan approved labor and social affairs ministry draft plan to prevent an increase in the number of beggars in Kabul said Inamullah Samangani, the deputy spokesman.

Due increase in the number of beggars in big cities, the cabinet of the Islamic Emirate was tasked by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to draft a plan to overcome the problems of beggars and prevent numbers.

Experts say the real reason for the increase in the number of beggars is the cessation or reduction of foreign aid and the increase in poverty and unemployment in Afghanistan.

The US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction recently claimed in a report that between 700,000 and 900,000 people have lost their jobs in Afghanistan in the current year.

Rejecting the reports, officials in the Islamic Emirate say they are striving to attain self-sufficiency and solve the people’s economic problems by taking an economy-oriented approach and attracting foreign investment.
