IEA Deputy PM Vows Not to Let Anyone Use Afghanistan for Harming Others

KABUL (BNA): Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, stated at a meeting with a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran that the Islamic Emirate will not allow anybody to use the territory of Afghanistan against others or intervene in his domestic affairs.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, met with a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran today at Sepidar Palace.

During the meeting, which was also attended by Iranian diplomats in Afghanistan, the Iranian delegation expressed satisfaction with the security in Afghanistan, saying, it is important that the conflict in Afghanistan is over and the Islamic Emirate has eradicated narcotics in the country.

The delegation stressed the need to expand Afghanistan-Iran relations as well as increase commerce and investment.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Islamic Emirate desires constructive cooperation with the whole world, particularly Iran.

Afghanistan and Iran have a lot in common and good relations need to be improved in various sectors, he said, adding that the Islamic Emirate believes in dialogue for solving issues. He also encouraged Iranian industrialists to invest in Afghanistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for hosting Afghan refugees and sought Iran’s support for providing needed services for the Afghan migrants in that country. He added that the Islamic Emirate does not allow anyone to use Afghan territory against others or interfere in its internal affairs.
