IEA, Forces Discovered Military Armaments in Takhar

TALEQAN (BNA) During an inspection operation in Takhar, a large number of weapons and military ammunition have fallen into the hands of the security forces.

House-to-House inspections have been underway for the past five days in districts and the provincial capital.  Said Abdul Mubeen Safi, spokesman of Takhar police chief, to BNA.

He said dozens of kinds of weapons, grenades, military uniforms, dozens of boxes of ammunition, and stolen vehicles have been recovered So far.

The purpose of clearing operation is to collect illegal weapons, stolen vehicles, and other military equipment, the operation dominates an important role in improving the security state and preventing criminal offenses. Safi added.

He noted that during the inspection of each house, female police officers, the cleric of the mosque, and the chairman of the council in each part were present.

Meanwhile, some families whose homes were searched in the operation hailed the move by the Islamic Emirate and expressed satisfaction with the treatment and inspection officials’ response, saying that the move was in the interest of all people.
