National Transport Committee Holds Meeting

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by Ahmad Zia Massoud, the Presidential Special Representative on Reforms and Good Governance, the National Transport Committee held a meeting discussing some related issues including green city transportation, lasting transport and transportation terminals, his office said the other day. According to a statement from Massoud’s press office, the Kabul Municipality representative, present at the meeting said the draft for lasting transportation had been inked by the Council of Ministers and the Kabul Municipality is making effort to implement it in all related projects. Deputy Minister of rural rehabilitation also provided the meeting with details about the city terminals and said the eastern terminal had been prepared and would be sent to the national environment protection administration for environmental review, said the statement. Deputy transportation minister also detailed about the city transportation management and the presidential special representative asking the members of the national transport committee for providing their practical work opportunities as soon as possible, according to the statement adding the ministry of transport officials should also share their city transportation management with the related organs, under the green city national transportation policy. Massoud asked the committee members to do their best to provide the citizens with proper city transportation and put an end to their problems.
