IEA Ready to Start TAPI Practical Work: Stanikzai

KABUL (BNA): deputy Foreign Minister Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, met with Hoja Ovezov ambassador of Turkmenistan in Kabul on Saturday.

A statement received by BNA said that during a meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister praised Turkmenistan’s neutral and constructive stance on Afghanistan and called the ties between the two countries thoughtful and based on mutual interests.

He ascertained that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is entirely ready to launch practical work on TAPI and hailed recent development on the project.

Deputy Stanikzai likewise asked the Turkmen ambassador, allowed the Afghans’ students to return back to their education Turkmenistan, which lately their studies were halted due to spread of COVID19.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Ovezov promised that Afghan students will soon return back to their studies and other students who completed their education courses will be allowed to travel to collect their educations’ certificates.

At the end of the meeting, besides Tapi, also discussions were held on Tap, Railways and Qushtepa Canal.
