IEA Released 5 UK Citizens Who were Charged with Violating the Country’s Laws

KABUL (BNA) The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has released 5 British citizens who were detained months earlier for violating laws, said spokesman Mujahid.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said a number of British nationals who were arrested about six months ago for violating the country’s laws were released and returned to their home country following a series of meetings and a resolution with British officials.

He said that the British nationals who were freed on Sunday pledged to respect Afghanistan’s laws, traditions, and culture and not to violate any country’s laws in the future.

Mr. Mujahid said that Afghanistan was safe for all people including tourists and assured that anyone can visit the country legally without any concerns.
