IEA Supports National, International Investors in Housing Sector

KABUL (BNA) Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani Acting Urban Development and Lands Minister in a meeting with Turkish ambassador Cihad Erginay said “Islamic Emirate supports national and international investors who are willing to provide housing for Afghans,”

The Ministry release a newsletter on Monday saying the Acting Minister met with ambassador Cihad Erginay of Turkish in Afghanistan, in the meeting both discussed uncomplete projects by Turkish construction companies.

During the meeting, the Minister called on Turkish companies and investors to invest in housing and urban development sectors in Afghanistan.

The acting Urban Development and Lands Minister said Islamic Emirate supports all those investors who are willing to invest in the housing sector in Afghanistan, added to the press release.

The Minister asked the Turkish ambassador to cooperate with the Afghan administration to implement the memorandum of understanding signed in the sector of urban planning, reconstruction of historic buildings, and urban development, with the Ministry.

Ambassador Cihad Erginay vowed his country’s cooperation with the Ministry in the completion of uncomplete projects in the sector of urban development, housing, reconstruction, and preservation of historic sides, further said the newsletter.

The Turkish side promised to review work plans with Urban Development and Lands Ministry to meet Turkish construction companies’ challenges and to restart uncomplete projects’ work.

The two sides decided to form a joint committee to assess the existing issues and stressed the need to find a solution to restart all pending project work.
