Danesh Chairs NSC Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The country’s Second Vice-President, Sarwar Danesh chaired the other day a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC), discussing some issues among them providing the prisoners with health and other facilities, the BNA reported.
According to the agency, the vice president called providing any facilities for the prisoners as their rights and added they (the prisoners) should suffer what had been legally imposed on them, but should be treated as a human and provided with any eases. He said the memorandum of understanding signed with the ministry of public health should be assessed and implemented as soon as possible, under which a mobile team should regularly visit the Pul-e-Charkhi Jail and provide the prisoners with health essentials.
He also said the education ministry should also in cooperation with the prisons department provide the prisoners with education and other crafts as well as the ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs should do its best to help the prisoners get educated with the Islamic laws. The prisoners were also said to be legally banned of using communication means, based on the ministry of telecommunication regulation, in case, the mobile phones were feared to be used in the interest of the terrorists activities by the prisoners.
