In 24h; Over 260 Taliban Fighters Kill, 119 Wounded in Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) At least 267 anti-government militias were killed and 119 others were wounded during clashes and reciprocal attacks of Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours in Afghanistan.

Ministry of National Defense in a statement reported, the terrorists have been targeted by Afghan security troops in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Laghman, Kandahar, Herat, Balkh, Faryab, Jawzjan, Helmand, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Takhar, Kapisa and Kabul provinces.

Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions and military equipment belonged to the rebels have been destroyed during the conflicts and reciprocal attacks, the statement added.

Also, Afghan security forces by discovering and confiscating 13 round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent several deadly incidents in crowded areas of the country.

The mines have planted by Taliban fighters to target innocent civilians and Afghans security personnel, local officials said.
