Afghanistan Head of National Security Directorate Gets New Job

Thursday, August 30, 2012
Kabul (BNA) At an extraordinary meeting in the Presidential Palace, President Hamid Karzai thanked Eng. Rahmatullah Nabil, for his two-year service as the Director General for the National Security Directorate (NDS).
President Karzai commended the dedication Nabil demonstrated in job over the past two years and wished him success in the new job he would soon take over as an ambassador to a foreign country.
Prior to his two years as the NDS chief, Nabil had served for six years as the director of the President’s Protective Service guard (PPS) which he laid down.
Nabil’s new appointment comes in consistence to a decision by President Karzai that no longer allows for an NDS Director General to continue more than two years in office.
