Kabul (BNA) Recently, Pakistan had fundamental changes in its ties with Afghanistan and these changes regard positive steps for cooperation of this country towards bringing peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The US special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Daniel Fieldmann says that honest efforts taken place by Pakistan and now, this country knows that stability in Afghanistan is in its own benefit and as cooperates Afghanistan in its peace negotiation, the US is optimist. The special envoy of the US for Afghanistan and Pakistan laid emphasize that Pakistan plays its own role well till be sure for a peaceful solution, because, there are serious interest for performing political negotiations to bring peace. At the same time, in his fresh suggestions in connection with peace, president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has said that our fundamental, humane and national duty is establishment of a durable peace in Afghanistan, because, sans a durable peace, this country cannot live. The president stated that sans cooperation of regional countries, peace does not be maintained. We should establish a peace that is durable and we would make effort with all strength for establishment of peace, stability and welfare of the country.
At the same time, the authorities of national unity government also lying emphasize that within few couple of weeks; peace talks would begin and welcome the readiness of Pakistan for cooperation towards negotiations on peace process in Afghanistan. Likewise, the political witnesses in Afghan affairs expressing their optimism about expansion of relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan and are expecting these relations be strengthened more than before. Because, having close ties would be in the benefit of both nations. These witnesses lay emphasize that if the regional countries especially Pakistan have honest cooperation with Afghanistan in this process, no doubt, Afghanistan would reach to a durable peace. But, what is a matter of concern for Afghan people is lack of honest commitment before our country. Because, the neighboring counties especially Pakistan had no honest cooperation with Afghanistan in maintaining peace and stability. But now, these hopes are increased more for people that with closeness of leaders of both countries, this cooperation be strengthened.
One of these political witnesses, Amir Mohammad believes that it is a flagrant reality that the neighboring countries of Afghanistan can play important role in bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan and also they can be effective in closeness of the nations, removal of misunderstandings and need for mutual cooperation among neighboring countries in the political, economic and security fields and continued meetings in different levels can reduce problems and make closer the viewpoints of the countries. Because, maintaining peace and stability in Afghanistan causes peace in region and in the world. The parliament of Afghanistan also welcomes the improvement of relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan and says that we hope with the expansion of ties between Kabul and Islamabad, the process of peace negotiation be expedited, because, the role of neighboring countries especially Pakistan in this process is very important and the people of Afghanistan are in favor of honest cooperation in counterterrorism.
No doubt, if Pakistan cooperates honestly in maintaining peace and security in Afghanistan, not only peace be maintained in Afghanistan, but it would cause peace in the region and the world as a whole. A number of countrymen say that our people know Pakistan as a country that always committed for cooperation, but in practice, it was not so. Within recent thirteen years, this country played double-faceted policy before Afghanistan and now, that continued meetings are increased among the authorities of both countries, the hopes are also increased for improvement of ties between the two countries. One of our countrymen, Ahmad Fawad says that Afghanistan is from among those countries that sustained more victims in counterterrorism and so far too this fighting is continuing. But, beside the government of Afghanistan, the neighboring also should cooperate us in this connection. Because, maintaining peace in Afghanistan causes maintaining peace and stability in the region and in the world as well. This is in a time that the government of Afghanistan has friendly ties with all countries of the world and also wants from neighbors especially from Pakistan to make serious efforts in this regard.
