Kabul (BNA) The leading body of the ministry for mines and petroleum shared the reforms and management plan in mines sector with President Ghani the other day, the presidential palace said in a statement.
According to the statement, in the meeting which was held in Arg, the leading body of the ministry for mines and petroleum briefed the president on mines management way. The plan is expected to solve the problems in mines sector and would also prevent misusing them, the statement further said.
The participants said the reforms and management plan of Afghanistan’s mines included five factors such as reforms and administration development, management and geological information, contracts’ management based on law, transparent and accountable management as well as providing the ground for investors in two stages (two and five years), the statement added. Thanking the participants for the plan, the president called the move a good beginning to improve mines sector situation, the statement continued. The president said in next meetings, the details in this regard would be shared with relevant ministries so to find a way to solve the problems before mines sector, the statement added.
