Kabul (BNA) The Cultural Center of Edris Shah donated 5,000 pieces of different books to the Public Library the other day, BNA reported.
While receiving the books in a ceremony attended among others by Hamidullah Shahrani the director of Public Library and Dr. Mohammad Shafiq Faqiri the representative of Edris Shah Cultural Center, Acting Minister of Information and Culture Nabi Farahi thanked the Cultural Center for its contribution and said the Center donated 5,000 pieces of scientific, historic, literature, Sufism and religious to the Public Library and the entity would provide books to the provinces and the universities of the country. Farahi also thanked the Asia Foundation for providing 750 pieces of books to the Public Library.
He also noted that the new building of Public Library would be constructed in Yakatot area.
