Kabul (BNA) Taliban act as a criminal band not as a religious group. Taliban, who established a specific so called Islamic government in mid-1990 and imposed their selves to Afghan people and ruled for five years ignoring all international standards, now openly act as a criminal band, rather than a political movement.
According to BNA report, the UN supervisors who are monitoring the restrictions imposed by that prestigious organization in their recent report say, the Taliban who once ruled under the name of Islamic Imaret of Afghanistan and representing as an Islamic group now blatantly have changed their identity in to wick and criminal group. Taliban now enjoy a luxurious life, earlier met their financial needs, via extraordinary money from the people or donation of gulf countries. The UN supervising team on UN embargoes says, presently Taliban mostly provide their financial needs through illegal activities, extortion, abducting people, trafficking of narcotic drugs and illegally extraction of mines and plundering public properties.
The report also claims that, Taliban are speeding up their methods of abducting traders for ransom and for targeting the merchants, they have created a very complicated method. The people who prepared the report believe that Taliban by conducting destructive plans try to deter economic development of Afghanistan and support their financial base. The report explicitly says the Taliban via extortion, abduction for ransom and drug trafficking have reached to the level of financially self-sufficiency in province such as Kandahar, Helmand and Nimroz. The income of Taliban in Kandahar monthly has reached up to 8m dollars. In the previous year, the income of Taliban in Helmand province reached 5 m dollars, the center of Taliban because, they manage drug trafficking there and have restricted control our this heinous and illegitimate act.
Also, Taliban in this province have control a mine close to Durand Line and Pakistanis against all international laws are plundering the mine, in addition, Pakistani Taliban also receive their share from the mine. The Afghan political experts strongly believe that the leadership of Taliban presently enjoys luxurious life and endeavoring to build the most luxurious happy life not only for themselves, but, their children and grandchildren. While, they recruit among poor and illiterate people in rural areas and try to keep the people under their command illiterate in order to fight for their ambitious goals. While the leaderships of Taliban have built the most modern building and resort place in Karachi, Mary and Islamabad in Pakistan, Qatar and Unite Arabic Emirates and their children go to the most up to date schools. The Taliban achieved all these success, because, of using Islam as a means.
The recent unprecedented crime have been committed by Taliban while implementing their new strategy to honor the instruction of their bosses in Pakistan is cutting of the inked finger of people, who have voted in the run-off presidential elections which is unjustifiable and unforgivable.
