President Ghani Thanks NATO’s Sacrifices In Afghanistan’s War On Terror

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met NATO’s newly appointed civilian representative to Afghanistan, Zimmermann here yesterday noon, a statement from presidential press office said.
According to the statement, the new NATO representative conveyed greetings of his secretary general, adding NATO would remain committed to support Afghan security forces. He also promised to spare no effort in bolstering ties between NATO and Afghanistan. Thanking NATO sacrifices in war on terror in Afghanistan, President Ghani said NATO’s efforts were not limited to security in Afghanistan, but the whole region, the statement noted. Pointing to reformation in Ministry of National Defense, President Ghani said necessary reforms were brought to the ministry’s contracts, adding such reformation to be implemented in Ministry of Interior as well.  The president also said Afghanistan’s four year security plan to help the country overcome insurgency, the statement added.
