Kabul (BNA) At least five anti-government militias were killed during clashed with Afghan security forces in central Logar province the night before last.
Emal Momand acting press office of 203 Tander army corps told BNA, Taliban fighters wanted to carry out attack on Afghan national army troops’ checkpoints in relevant areas of Charkh district of the province, which were faced with full resistance of Afgahn security forces.
Five militants were killed and two others were wounded following the attack, Momand added.
Bodies of the rebels and their weapons have remained at the battlefield.
