CE Meets Norwegian Special Representative for Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in a meeting with the Norwegian special representative for Afghanistan discussed the latest development on intra-afghan peace expected to be hosted by Norway, his office said Tuesday.
At the meeting which was attended by the country’s acting minister of foreign affairs, representatives from the US and Germany embassies, the Norwegian special envoy spoke about his country’s preparation for hosting the intra-Afghan dialogue and said facilitation have been provided for the talks, according to the statement.
He said his country would spare no effort to help restore a lasting peace in Afghanistan, according to the statement.
The CE welcomed the Norwegian special envoy for his country’s preparations to host an intra-Afghan peace dialogue and reiterated the stance of the people and government of Afghanistan toward a fair and lasting peace in the country.
Both sides also exchanged views about the upcoming presidential election, the statement said.
