Rabbani Meets Turkish Ambassador

Monday, March 26, 2018 Kabul (BNA) Foreign Minister, Salahuddin Rabbani, on Sunday met with Turkish Republic Ambassador, Agha Jan Artugrol, discussing some political, security economic issues as well as matters concerning the Istanbul Process and bilateral cooperation and the Conference of the Organization of the Islamic Countries (OIC), a statement from his office said. According to the statement, the ambassador called Afghanistan a good friend of Turkey and said that his country’s Prime Minister would soon visit Afghanistan. Speaking about the completion of the sixth round of the Afghan police officers’ training process in Turkey, Mr. Artugol said that his country would remain committed to his cooperation with Afghanistan and that Turkey would continue training Afghan police officers, the statement said. Foreign Minister, Salahuddin Rabbani thanked the ambassador for his country’s continued cooperation in different fields with Afghanistan, particularly in training of the country’s security forces, the statement quoted. Turkish ambassador also said his country’s consulate office would soon be opened in Afghanistan western province of Herat, the statement said.
