CE Meets Female Members of NCA

Kabul (BNA) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met yesterday with a number of female members of National Coalition of Afghanistan (NCA) and discussed various issues related to women condition in the country.
Participants in the meeting enumerated problems and challenges Afghan women facing with in the country, asking the government for serious support in solution of the problems. Violence against women in capital and provinces, unemployment and poverty were other issues discussed in the meeting. Absorption of women in government institutions and providing proper facilities for participation and activities of women in political, cultural and social sectors were also demanded by participants in the meeting. Praising Afghan women in particular female members of NCA for their efforts in numerous phases and working shoulder to shoulder with their brothers towards institutionalizing of democracy in the country, the country’s chief executive declared that national unity government was committed to support Afghan women and would spare no effort in this regard. He also praised the Afghan women for their patience before problems, stressing that their efforts would not be ignored.  The country’s chief executive also stressed on continued and widespread effort and struggle for elimination of violence against women in the country.
