Islamic Emirate Delegation to Participate in Doha Meeting, Aims for Constructive Engagement

 

KABUL(BNA): At a press conference held at the Information and Media Center today, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, announced that the delegation is heading to Doha to seek understanding and resolve issues. He called on the participating countries to engage constructively with Afghanistan.

He added that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seizes every opportunity deemed effective for resolving challenges and issues, striving to improve the lives of the Afghan people, particularly in the economic sector.
He emphasized that this visit is not hostile towards any party but rather aims to engage with all parties, urging that this should be understood and utilized effectively.

“In the framework of national interests, we urge all countries not to abandon the Afghan people in difficult times. Instead, they should fulfill their obligations where the rights of the Afghan people are concerned, actively participate in Afghanistan’s reconstruction and economic strengthening, and remove any obstacles in the way.” Mujahid further remarked.

Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid continued that they aim to interact positively with the United Nations, involved countries, and the international community to find a unified approach for improving Afghanistan’s economic conditions and overall stability.

Earlier, Minister Muttaqi, Acting Foreign Minister, in a meeting with Roza Otunbayeva, head of UNAMA announced that the Islamic Emirate’s delegation is fully prepared to address critical agenda items, such as combating narcotics, financial and banking sanctions, and overcoming obstacles hindering private sector development.

It is noteworthy that the third Doha meeting is scheduled to take place in a few days in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and will last for two days. In addition to the delegation from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, special representatives from several countries will also be in attendance.
