Kabul (BNA) The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to reconstructing and progress in the country and is pursuing this commitment with a great deal.
Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, The Acting Minister of Public Works visited Kabul-Kandahar highway on Saturday and assured the people on behalf of the Islamic Emirate that the work on all uncomplete projects would be completed.
This commitment comes as the Islamic Emirate inherited a bankrupt economy from the previous administration by taking control of Kabul, as well as the unfair sanctions imposed on the Islamic Emirate by the United States and billions of dollars in Afghanistan national capital. The blockade by this country added to the economic problems in Afghanistan.
On the other hand, many infrastructure projects of the previous government have remained incomplete, projects that were incomplete due to lack of funding, widespread corruption in the administration, negligence of the authorities during the persistence of the wars, and now that the Islamic Emirate is in control of the situation, committed and trying to complete the half-remaining projects of the past.
Such a commitment is a sign that the Islamic Emirate pursues the idea of progress and development as a priority, and it is successful in this direction, if we review the course of developments in the six months that have passed since the domination of the Islamic Emirate over all of Afghanistan. We find that the economic situation has been active and positive during this period, the plans of the Islamic Emirate have caused the problems of the people to be reduced to a certain extent. It has managed the country monetary and banking well, prevented the dollar from appreciating against the Afghan currency, and has also begun work on major international projects, such as Afghanistan’s inclusion in China’s economic corridor, and intensifying work on extending the country’s railway. Has also had practical plans.
However, the Islamic Emirate has few financial resources and the facilities that were favorable to the previous government by the international community do not provide a small percentage to the Islamic Emirate.
Previously, a large part of Afghanistan’s budget was funded by international institutions such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the United States Agency for International Development, and foreign governments, but now that it has been cut off, that means halting development projects in Afghanistan. On the one hand, this stopped the process of economic development and infrastructure growth in Afghanistan, and on the other hand, it damaged the circulation of the Afghan economy.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said in a recent speech at a rally in Kabul’s 13th district that Afghanistan’s economy would recover in by the time. “Believe me, our economic problems will not last more than a year.”
It follows from these statements that the officials in the new governing have high thoughts and ideas toward rebuilding Afghanistan’s economy and have a plan for the reconstruction of Afghanistan after the war.
