Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Attend Doha Meeting, Led by Spokesman Mujahid

 

KABUL(BNA): The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs announced that a delegation from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, headed by the government spokesman, will participate in the upcoming Doha meeting.

Abdulqahar Balkhi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, wrote on his official X page that Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting FM, announced during a coordination meeting that, following the guidance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s leadership, a delegation led by Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, will participate in the upcoming Doha meeting.

He added that a coordination meeting chaired by Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi was held to prepare for participation in the upcoming Doha meeting.

The meeting was attended by Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Noor Ahmad Agha, Deputy of Da Afghanistan Bank, Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, Deputy Minister of Counter Norcotics, and advisors from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

According to Balkhi, in this meeting, discussions were held on members of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan participating in upcoming Doha meeting, sanctions on Afghanistan’s financial and banking system, challenges facing private sector development, and Islamic Emirate actions against narcotics.

The upcoming Doha meeting is set to commence in a few days and will span two days in Qatar’s capital city. Special representatives from various countries are expected to participate in this important meeting.
