KHOST (BNA) The National Olympic on Friday in the ground of his work hold a javelin competitions in Khost said the committee in a statement.
The occasion of opening ceremony was attended by the governor of Khost, security officials, tribal elders and a large number of residents of the province.
The first stage of this competition was held with two matches between the teams of Khost and Ghazni provinces, the first match ended in favor of the team of Khost province and the second match ended in favor of the team of Ghazni.
At the end of the competition, the illustrious athletes were praised and inspirit by the Governor of Khost and other local officials of the province.
Javelin throwing is one of the traditional sports in Afghanistan that has many fans among the residents of the southern and eastern provinces of the country.
Annual javelin competitions are held in a number of these provinces by the National Olympic Committee or at the initiative of athletes in the sport.
