The Parliament Lower House Approves Law On Population Registration

Kabul (BNA) The Parliament Lower House approved the law on population registration, Chaired by Mirwais Yaseeni first secretary of the House of People.
The MPs also discussed security situation in country, non-expending of the development budget by the budgetary units, shortage of electricity and potable water in Jawzjan, Helmand and Nimroz provinces, lack of attention towards construction of Kamal Khan dam.
High price of Ufuqi Sharq Airline fares to Bamyan, the remarks of the National Security Advisor with respect to peace process, skyrocketing of foreign currencies against Afghani currency and the new scheme of Ministry of Higher Education for university entrance exams.
The MPs expressed concern over security and economic situation with the advent of holy month of Ramadan arguing that a sudden rise is noticed in the prices of primary goods and petroleum products while the numbers of unemployed people are increasing throughout country.
According to the MPs the main reason behind robbery cases is unemployment and poverty in Kabul city.
The MPs asked the security forces to explain about the security situation in country.
The MPs considered the decision of the government for holding Loya Jirgah (Grand Assembly) in accord with the Constitution unjustifiable and against the constitution.
Any decision regarding to the national issues should be adopted by the Parliament of country which represent the people all over country. Some of the MPs called this government’s efforts for bringing amendment to the Constitution according to their own interest and they urged the administrative and member of the Lower House to avoid participating in this Jirgah.
They also condemned creation of churches by some Afghans in New Delhi, India and asked the government to prevent such moves.
