CM Economic Committee Holds Session

Kabul (BNA) Council of Ministers (CM) Economic Committee with Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on the chair held meeting on Monday, the CE office said in a statement.
At the outset, Humayoun Rasa minister of commerce and industries presented his report on improving work environment and on quadruple committees’ function which has been formed to practice the ministry’s goals, according to the statement.
Calling permanent presence and effective role of a number of ministries and independent administrations’ representatives important, the minister of commerce and industries criticized lack of presence of related government organizations’ representatives in the committees. Expressing glad on improving works, CE Dr. Abdullah tasked the related organizations to send their representatives in the committees’ meetings and decisively follow the issue.
CE also instructed the economic committee members to present their proposals on improving economic situation in consider with people needs and government’s priorities, the statement added. Asadullah Zamir, the minister of agriculture explained the draft on protection and prevention of smuggling jungles in Kunar province. He said many points including arranging jungles and prevention of deforestations, establishing tribal councils for protection of jungles, identification of those who illegally cut the trees and many more have been mentioned in the draft. Dr. Abdullah tasked the related officials to codify a brief report on sixteen infrastructural projects and present it in the next meeting.
