Kabul Hosts Grand Clerics Assembly

KABUL (BNA) A large clerics assembly of the country started in Kabul, today Thursday, and will last for 3 days to discuss acute national issues in the country.

According to senior officials of the Islamic Emirate, in a large clerics assembly attended by religious scholars, ethnic elders, national businessmen, and other influential figures, on acute national issues, further consolidation of unity among the people, and stability in the country and issues related to education and knowledge will be discussed.

“At this gathering, they will discuss the important issues that are among Afghans, our national unity, ensuring global security, maintaining stability, and other issues that are important,” said Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi.

“If we look at the time after the Islamic Emirate regain sovereignty in Afghanistan, security, which is the first component of a healthy community in the country, has been provided, but other issues need to be resolved in consultation with the people”. he added.

Council and dialogue are part of the authentic culture of Afghans, “we have solved the issues through understanding and dialogue whenever they are faced with specific issues, on the other hand, the Holy Quran which is the guide of humanity and the law of human life has repeatedly framed the Muslim Ummah to resolve the relevant issues and the problem that arises between them by holding a council.

Holding this meeting, the Islamic Emirate has strived to deem the people in the process of good governance and wants to have a general view of the acute issues of the country so that the society is still in a positive direction.

“If we pay attention to the course of time in our country and especially to the events of the last twenty years, many so-called meetings were held in the same tent of the Loya Jirga, which did not have active and positive political and security consequences because such meetings are more symbolic” said Hanafi.

While, the current gathering will be different from the jirgas and meetings that have been held over the past twenty years.

In this meeting, religious scholars will take a stand by the sharia rules.

In the clerics assembly, efforts will be made to make the society and the government more responsible, to solve problems or reduce them in various sectors, particularly economic issues, and wait for the people to solve the current crises.

From poverty to economic crises, the reopening of girls’ schools and many other issues in the country to find fundamental solutions, will be discussed this gathering, according to official.
