Farah (BNA) 19 armed Taliban insurgents were killed in an operation conducted by security forces in Farah province yesterday.
The operation carried out by joint Afghan forces in Balabalok district, Farah province and Taliban forced to flee.
Mohammad Iqbal Baher spokesman of Farah security directorate told BNA, as a result of the operation so fare, 19 armed Taliban lost their lives and more than 15 others were injured.
The source added during the operation, two security forces were also martyred.
It is said that Farah-Farahroad highway closed on traffic due to Taliban clashes for a short time and operation continued in Balabalok district till elimination of insurgents there.
